Some of the G.H. crew are heading to Austin this weekend for a BIG Takeover with Treaty Oak Distillery and The Chive.
General Horseplay pays homage to Mr. Bill Murray in several ways: you can find pics of Murray hidden around the bar, the bathroom doors are covered in quotes from Bill, and most recently a deliciously refreshing watermelon/bourbon libation named “Murricane”.
Even our name, General Horseplay, was inspired by Bill Murray!
“A while back I remember Bill Murray sprained his wrist. When I asked him what happened he replied, “general horseplay”. I remember thinking it was a classic way for Bill to describe how he got injured. Of course it was general horseplay. I passed the gem onto Chris and the TBD brick building finally got a name.”
